Lacy O’Malley
Lacy O’Malley is the Assistant Director for Service and Civic Engagement at Pittsburg State University, where she leads initiatives to integrate civic power and strategic service into the student experience. With a background in History and Anthropology, her professional career is rooted in public service and systems architecture. Her experience includes roles with the National Park Service at Fort Scott, the IRS, and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), as well as local private and public sector experience with Pitsco Education and K-State Research and Extension.
Recognized as a 2026 Woman of Distinction by the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Lacy holds several community leadership positions. She serves as an At-Large Board Member for Pittsburg Area Young Professionals (PAYP)—having previously received the organization’s Outstanding Volunteerism Award—and is the Treasurer for Building Health, Inc. Additionally, she is the recorder for the Neighborhood Advisory Council, where she formerly served as Chair, and is a past board member for the YMCA.
When she isn’t at a committee meeting or on campus, Lacy is usually busy keeping up with her husband, Matt, and their two elementary-aged sons
